  • Dr.
    - Garton

    Dr. Garton has been practicing Nephrology since 1997.  He is board certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine.  He is a graduate of the University of Akron and Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine.  He completed his internship as well as his residency at Indiana University.  Dr. Garton also completed a fellowship at Indiana University.  He is currently a member of the American College of Physician, American Society of Nephrology, and the Stark County Medical Association.

    - Kelley

    Dr. Kelley has been practicing Nephrology since 2002.  He is board certified in both Nephrology and Internal Medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine.  He is a graduate of the Ohio State University College of Medicine.  He completed an internship, residency and fellowship at the Ohio State University Medical Center.  He is a member of the Ohio State Medical Association and the Stark County Medical Association.

    - Degenhard

    Dr. Degenhard is a native of Canton, Ohio. He is a graduate of Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine where he now serves as a clinical assistant professor for nephrology. He completed an internship through the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine Program at Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital. His residency was completed through Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine (NEOUCOM), Summa Health System. He is now a clinical assistant professor of internal medicine through NEOUCOM. Dr. Degenhard also completed a fellowship at the University of Cincinnati, the University Hospital and VA Medical Center. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology through the American Board of Internal Medicine.  He is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, Renal Physicians Association, American Society of Interventional and Diagnostic Nephrology, American College of Physicians, American Osteopathic Association, and the Ohio Osteopathic Association.

    - Bhargava

    Dr. Bhargava has been practicing medicine since 1992.  He is a graduate of Gujarat University, India.  He completed a two-year residency program through the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine (NEOUCOM), Affiliated Hospitals of Canton, and a fellowship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.  He is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.  Dr. Bhargava is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, International Society of Nephrology, Indian Society of Nephrology, Indian Society of Organ Transplantation, American College of Physicians, American Medical Association, and Stark County Medical Society.

  • Tammy Micco MSN, APRN, FNP-C

    Tammy is a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. Tammy joined Kidney & Hypertension Consultants, Inc. in 2014. She is a graduate of Malone University. Tammy has nine years of experience as a Surgical Intensive Care RN and seven years as a Registered Respiratory Therapist. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Ohio Association of Advanced Practice Nurses, National Kidney Foundation, and the American Association of Nephrology Nurses.

  • Bhavnish Bucktowarsing, MD

    Dr. Bucktowarsing (Dr.Buck) graduated medical school from Manipal University, India in 2013. He joined the CMEF Internal Medicine Residency program (Northeastern Ohio Medical University) in 2014 where he excelled and became the Chief Resident. He gathered multiple awards including excellence in teaching, research, ambulatory medicine and critical care. He then joined The Ohio State University for his Nephrology fellowship where he was selected as the Chief Fellow. At OSU, Dr.Buck trained in General Nephrology and Interventional Nephrology, obtaining the Agarwal Excellence in Interventional Nephrology award. Thereafter, he made the decision to practice in the Northeast Ohio area to help the people in the local community. He joined Kidney and Hypertension Consultants in 2019 and has special interests in management of Dialysis access and the incorporation of point of care ultrasound in the evaluation of patients. He has published multiple educational articles for residents and fellows, including a review article in the Advances in Chronic Kidney Disease journal. Dr.Buck also works to provide Nephrology care for the population of Millersburg and the surrounding areas. He believes in reaching out to the rural communities in order to make kidney care more equitable. 

  • Amy Hazel, APRN-CNP, CNN-NP

    Amy graduated from University of Akron with her Masters of Nursing and Certification as an

    Adult Nurse Practitioner in 2004. She has been with Kidney & Hypertension Consultants since 2004, but has worked in dialysis since 1991. In 2019 she received her Certification as a Nephrology Nurse Practitioner. She is passionate about kidney disease and an advocate for her patients.

    She has volunteered for the American Kidney Fund, National Kidney Foundation, and Kappa Kidney Camp. She serves on the Kidney Symposium planning committee for the Kidney Foundation of Ohio. She speaks locally and at the state level to both the public and professionals. She is a member of the Ohio Nurses Association, National Kidney Foundation and American Nephrology Nurses Association.

    - Rajan

    Dr. Rajan is a graduate of Ross University School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency through Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, and fellowship at Ohio State University. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and board certified in Nephrology through the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Rajan is a member of the National Kidney Foundation, American Society of Nephrology, Renal Physicians Association, and the Stark County Medical Society.

    Dayanand Makey, M.D.

    Dr. Dayanand Makey, M.D. is a graduate of University of Maryland in 1999.  Internship at Kasturba Medical School in Manipal, India in 2005.  Research Assistant at Pheochromocytoma Research program, NICHD, National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland in 2007.  Internal Medicine Residency at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in 2008.  Fellowship in Nephrology, Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio in 2011.  Dr. Dayanand is a recipient of the REAL (Resident Education and Learning) award, which was awarded to the best resident teacher of the year, June 2010.  Certifications in American board of Internal Medicine as well as ECFMG in 2007.
